Geoffrey Roniger is a seasoned yoga instructor based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the founder of Yoga Unbound. His teaching approach emphasizes sound biomechanical alignment principles, intuitive movement, and the use of metaphor to make ancient yoga traditions accessible to contemporary practitioners. After earning a degree in European Studies from Vanderbilt University in 1998, Geoffrey moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he contributed to transforming a 19th-century church into Europe's largest yoga studio. Upon returning to the United States, he completed an 18-month Advanced Studies Program at Piedmont Yoga Studio, apprenticing under Richard Rosen and Rodney Yee. In 2005, Geoffrey founded Freret Street Yoga in New Orleans, which gained acclaim for its high-quality, accessible instruction in a friendly and serene environment. He later established Yoga Unbound, aiming to provide practices that help individuals counteract the effects of stress, anxiety, and the fast pace of modern life. Throughout his career, Geoffrey has collaborated with various organizations, including serving as an on-site yoga teacher for companies like Salesforce.com and Amyris Biotechnologies. He also contributed to the Urban Zen Foundation's Integrative Therapy Program in New York, implementing therapeutic yoga techniques for diverse populations. Geoffrey continues to teach and inspire students through classes, workshops, and retreats offered by Yoga Unbound in New Orleans.
