Emily Watkins Toups, CCC-SLP, CBIS, is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist at Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University. Ms. Toups currently works in outpatient neurological rehabilitation in Baton Rouge, La. Throughout her career, Ms. Toups has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams comprising physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to evaluate and monitor patient progress, ensuring comprehensive and quality care. Her interests include prevention and early intervention, alternative and augmentative communication devices, management of progressive neurological disorders, cognitive rehabilitation, and community outreach and education.
