Neurocognitive Associate
Tommy Vo is a dedicated Psychometrist/Neurocognitive Associate at the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute, where he has contributed for the past three years. His clinical experience spans multiple neurological subspecialties, including headache and migraine management, concussions, neurocognitive disorders, and vascular neurology. He has also worked in Urgent Care, managing non-emergency illnesses and injuries.To further his expertise in cognitive health, Tommy earned his Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) credential, underscoring his specialized knowledge in dementia care, psychometry, and cognitive assessment. He is also certified in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a widely used cognitive screening tool.Beyond his clinical work, Tommy has played an integral role in neuroscience research and education. As a Data Coordinator for Ochsner Neuroscience Clinical Research, he has contributed to studies on memory and neurovascular conditions. His commitment to professional development is reflected in his completion of the Preceptor Academy at Ochsner, allowing him to train and onboard new medical assistants. He has also contributed to medical education as a symposium coordinator for the Southern Louisiana Health Symposium, advancing awareness and training in headache medicine.Tommy is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, serving as the Communications Chair for the Asian American Innovation Movement (AAIM) at Ochsner.
